[Kitakyushu Specialty] Irohaya Konpeito

$6.95

Making Konpeito, or traditional Japanese sugar candies, can be a delicate process!

These sweet treats are made by Irohaya no Konpeito, a confectionary company based in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka.

In Japan, it is customary to gift family members and friends Konpeito to celebrate new marriages, babies, and even as offerings at temples and shrines to bring good luck.

They’re created by repeatedly coating a kernel of coarse sugar with flavored syrups, with the layering process taking over a week to finish!

Available in Grape, Lemon, and Matcha flavors.

Best to store in a cool, dry area.
